BACKGROUND The Historic White Water Creek Bridge Relocation Project - Phase 5 provided for the installation of new aluminum and stainless steel cable stay fencing on the Historic White Water Creek Bridge which is located at the Bergfeld Pond Recreational Area in the Dubuque Industrial Center West. DISCUSSION The Historic White Water Creek Bridge Relocation Project, Phase 5 — Fencing was completed by Giese Manufacturing Company Inc. of Dubuque, Iowa, in the final contract amount of $19,800.00. The project was awarded based on a competitive quotation process for public improvements in accordance with Iowa Code, Section 26.14. REMAINING IMPROVEMENTS With the new fencing in- place, the final phases of the project will include the future installation of sidewalk on the east side, lighting and interpretive signage. RECOMMENDATION recommend that the City Council accept the improvements and authorize payment of the contract amount of $19,800.00 to Giese Manufacturing Company Inc. for the Historic White Water Creek Bridge Relocation Project, Phase 5 — Fencing.
