Thank you for voting for basic civil and human rights for gay and lesbian members of our community. My
husband and I work very hard to raise our children to be respectful and fair to all human beings. We felt
very happy to be able to tell them that our new fair-minded mayor and most of our city council members had
voted to add a sexual orientation category to our city's non-discrimination ordinance. Our children felt a sense of
pnde in knowing that they had worked on the new mayor and city council members' campaigns. They learned a
very important life lesson: that people of integrity working together really can make a difference in the world.
