Would you please consider raising the speed limit on Tanzanite Drive from 25 mph to
35 mph. The reason I request you consider this is for safety. Tanzanite runs between
Peru Road and John Deere Road. They are both 45 mph roads. Very few people slow
down to 25 mph on Tanzanite Drive and the ones who do are apt to be rear ended by
the faster traffic. Loras Blvd is 30 mph with much more traffic and buildings. 32nd
Street is 35 mph with much more traffic and buildings. Pennsylvania Ave is 30 mph
with much more traffic and buildings. If these speed limits are safe, which they are,
in these areas then 35 mph on Tanzanite Drive would be much more appropriate.
