Dear Barry:
This letter will respond to the claim filed by Mr. Francis McDonald on March 10, 2006.
Mr. McDonald states that his mailbox was damaged when one of our snow plows
struck the box during our plowing operation. While we have no report of this incident,
our records do show we were out plowing on that day.
It is my policy to make mailbox repairs with our own crews when we receive this type
of report from the homeowner. In this case Mr. McDonald made the repair prior to
reporting the incident. I talked to Mr. McDonald about the work that was required to
repair his mailbox and feel that his claim is fair and just.
It is therefore my recommendation to pay the claim ($25.00) as filed.
