Dear City Council Members,
I regret to inform you that I must resign, beginning immediately, from the Long Range
Planning Commission. My family and I have purchased a business in Peosta, Iowa and
are subsequently relocating to that city, which is also more convenient for me as General
Manager of the Dubuque County Fairgrounds a position that I will continue to hold.
I would have preferred to allow more time for notification; however our business
agreement with the past owner has allowed a much quicker transition, so that we can
meet our goals and objectives to being operation as quickly as possible. We will operate
Track Side Bar & Grill (formerly "Our Haus") in the city of Peosta, offering home-
cooked noon lunch specials and a short order menu daily as well as full bar services.
I appreciate the confidence that you had in my abilities by choosing to appoint me to such
a very important commission. I believe that the commission plays a very important role
in the future development of Dubuque. Laura and her staff do an excellent job of keeping
commissioners well informed and on task. The opportunity was a wonderful, albeit a
short experience. I apologize for any inconvenience that my resignation has caused.
