In accordance with the provisions of Chapter 441.16 of the 2011 Code of Iowa, the
Dubuque City Conference Board met in the Dubuque County Supervisors Chambers, 4th
Floor Court House, 720 Central Ave., Dubuque, Iowa at 4:00 p.m. The purpose of the
meeting is to ratify the Collective Bargaining agreement with the union employees.
Meeting was called to order by Acting Chairperson Joyce Connors at 4:05 p.m.
Roll call was taken. Those present were:
City Council: Joyce Connors
Ric Jones
Kevin Lynch
School Board: Otto Krueger
Tam i Ryan
Supervisors: Eric Manternach
Daryl Klein
Also present were Mr. John Ganshirt, negotiator for the Conference Board along with
City Assessor Rick Engelken.
Mr. Ganshirt gave a presentation on the bargaining unit contract. The change in the
contract was a one year 1.75% raise for bargaining unit employees. Mr. Ganshirt
requested that the Conference Board ratify the contract.
Mr. Jones made a motion to ratify the Collective bargaining unit contract for the fiscal
year 2012 — 2013. Mr. Klein seconded the motion. All members present voted "Aye."
Motion carried
Mr. Engelken notified the Board of a law change affecting his budget for the upcoming
year. The change will require a meeting to transfer the ending fund balance from one
fund to another. A budget amendment will also be needed.
The Board set their next meeting for July 10th at 4:00 p.m. in the Supervisors chambers to
take care of the budget items.
As there was no further business, Mr. Jones made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Mr.
Lynch seconded the motion. All members present voted "Aye." Motion carried.
