Senior Fitness Friends re: Lifetime Center

Dear Council Members,
We, The Senior Fitness Friends, one of the exercise groups from the LifeTime Center,
wish to thank all of you who supported the LifeTime Center in its request for the full
amount of $25,000 as part of the city budget. It is very encouraging for us to know
that the greater majority of the Council recognizes and is willing to assist in a program
dedicated primarily to the senior citizens of this community. The rewards to the city for
this support is reflected in so many ways - you have seniors who not only keep them-
selves physically fit but who also go throughout the community doing volunteer work
for their fellow Dubuqueland citizens. In gathering together for whatever function
presented at the LifeTime Center, they are socializing, which is one of the most important
factors in keeping healthy, and further they look out for one another, just to mention a few
of the benefits. So, thank you again for your support and for the LifeTime Center itself.
