Public Notice
There was no public input.
PEG Channel Re- Location
Nowack provided an update on the re- location of the PEG channels to 85.2 through 85.6. The City
Manager recently approved the planned re- location so now it is up to Mediacom to determine when
the change will occur. Nowack was told that the change will most likely take place simultaneously
with Channel 14 being re- located.
PEG Grant Agreements
Nowack reported that Craig Schaefer has recently informed him of some new programming coming
from Wahlert High School following the Commission's recent letter to grant recipients. Noting the
response received from the Dubuque Art Center, Nowack wondered if the Commission should invite
Jordan DeGree to a future meeting to discuss the status of the grant equipment at that facility. The
Commission discussed some possibilities for the use of that equipment. RTigges moved to invite Mr.
DeGree to the March meeting to discuss the grant equipment. The motion was seconded by
McMullen and approved 5 — 0.
Mediacom Cable Report
Barefoot discussed a proposal he is working on to upgrade the method by which the live Mercy Mass
signal is sent to Mediacom and better ways to handle the airing of that program. He discussed recent
visits from Senior High School and University of Dubuque students to the public access studio.
Cable TV Report
Nowack updated the Commission on programming in production and reported that the City's website
video page re- design is nearly ready to better handle mobile devices. He reminded the Commission
about the Cable TV budget presentation at the end of the month and informed them that City Expo will
be held in September.
Adjournment
Upon a motion by JTigges, seconded by McMullen, the meeting was adjourned at 4:40 p.m.
