Proclamation Colts Drum & Bugle Corps 5BB~E ~ck~< PROCLAMA TION WHEREAS, the Colts Drum and Bugle Corps will be hosting the annual "Music on the March" drum corps event on Friday, July 7, 2006, and the Music on the March II" event on Saturday, August 5, 2006 at Dalzell Field at Senior High School; and WHEREAS, Dubuque is blessed to be the parent-city of the Colts Drum and Bugle Corps and wholeheartedly endorse this tine group of young men and women and their supportive families; and WHEREAS, almost 2000 young people, ages 9.21, will entertain hundreds of thousands of audience members this summer; and WHEREAS, these young men and women learn responsibility, respect, discipline and how to achieve their goals; and WHEREAS, the Colts Drum and Bugle Corps and their counterparts from all over the world, including Kyota, Japan and Ontario, Canada are a tremendous positive force of dedicated youth and their families; and WHEREAS, we offer sincere welcome to all the visiting young people and their support staffs and hope their time in Dubuque is positive, inspiring, and full of many memory-making moments. NOW THEREFORE, I, ROY D. BUOL, MAYOR OF THE CITY OF DUBUQUE, IOWA, ON BEHALF OF THE CITY COUNCIL, CITY STAFF AND RESIDENTS OF OUR CITY, SINCERELY AND HEARTILY WELCOME ALL DRUM AND BUGLE CORPS MEMBERS AND THEIR SUPPORT STAFFS AND ESPECIALLY THANK OUR OWN DUBUQUE DRUM AND BUGLE CORPS LEAD BY EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR GREG ORWOLL IN ""-ITNESS THEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the Great Seal of the City of Dubuque, Iowa to be affixed this 19th day of June, 2006.
