Dear Mayor Bue! and City Council Members,
The ColtlJ annual Music on the March is scheduled for Friday, July 7 and the third
annual Music on the March II is scheduled for Saturday, August 5.
Music on the March on July 7 will include for the f1l'st time in Dubuque the II-time
world champion Blue Devils from Concord, CA. plus the popular Madison Scouts, the
Blue stars from LaCrosse, the Capital Sound from Madison and the Racine Scouts
from Racine, WI. The Colts and the Colt Cadets of course will appear as well.
Music on the March IT on August 5 will include an intemationalline uo including
Yamato from Kyoto, Japan, Dutch Boy from Kitchener, Ontario plus the Vanguard
Cadets from Santa Clara, CA, Oregon Crusaders from St. Helens, OR, Revolution from
San Antonio, Impulse from Buena Park, CA, Raiders from Wayne, NJ, and the Colt
Ca,det".
We respectfully request a proclama.tion acknowledging these events. Music on the
March since 1992 has attracted Iilpectators from four foreign countries and 48 of 50
states and will likely draw the largest attendance we have ever had this year. An
average year brings 2,200 people to Dalzell field. Music on the March IT continues to
grow, and we estimate a crowd of around 500 for that show.

A further request is suspension of the residential parking rules around Senior High
School for both shows from 3 p.IIl. to 11 p.m. and the suspension of any noise
ordinances until 11 p.m. both nights.
