Spence, Leisure Services Manager SUBJECT: Approval of Banner to be Displayed at the Town Clock Plaza INTRODUCTION The purpose of this memorandum is to request approval of a banner the Dubuque Area Labor-Management Council would like displayed on the Town Clock. DISCUSSION City Council approval is required of banners to be displayed on the Town Clock. These banners must promote events in the downtown area and can be displayed two weeks prior to the event. The Dubuque Area Labor-Management Council is requesting approval of a banner to promote Summerfest on Friday, August 11th, 2006, under the Town Clock. With City Council approval, the banner would be placed on Friday, July 28th. ACTION STEP The action requested is that the City Council approve the Dubuque Area Labor- Management Council's request to display a banner on the Town Clock for Summerfest on August 11th, 2006.
