Vacate City Property
Dear Mayor and Council Members:
Airgas-North Central, Inc. ('North Central') has been the tenant at the above-referenced real property
since 1992 and is currently under contract to purchase the property from Charles L. Kessler, LLC. It is
my understanding there is a possibility of purchasing a portion of the Kerper Boulevard as it abuts the
property we are purchasing. North Central currently utilizes the proposed vacated property for parking
and landscaped frontage.
I have contacted Ron Turner with the Engineering Division of the City of Dubuque and he has indicated a
favorable condition for vacating with certain requirements along with a possible easement reserved for
utilities. I understand the vacated area would need to be surveyed and platted at the expense of North
Central and a fee paid for the parcel, plus publication and filing fees.
