This letter is a request from the newly formed Dubuque Area Convention & Visitors Bureau to the
Dubuque City Council for the Council to appoint two of their members to the Dubuque Area CVB
Advisory Committee. This Advisory Committee is a 25 person group made up of representatives of local
government and the Travel Industry in Dubuque County and the Tri State area. The Committee will meet
every other month starting on July 11, 2013 at noon in the Dubuque Chamber of Commerce Boardroom.
They will advise the President & CEO and the Board of Directors of the Dubuque Area Convention &
Visitors Bureau. These appointees are in addition to the Council member who was appointed to the
Dubuque Area CVB Board of Directors. Thank you for your consideration of this request. Please let me
