WHEREAS, Carnegie -Stout Public Library is a community hub that provides
access to a world of information and free resources; and
WHEREAS, Carnegie -Stout Public Library helps our citizens gain knowledge, get
inspired, reeducate themselves, and transform their lives; and
WHEREAS, Carnegie -Stout Public Library doesn't judge or discriminate, but
welcomes all citizens to improve their lives by using a wide variety of
free resources and services; and
WHEREAS, Carnegie -Stout Public Library hopes to build public awareness about
the value of the library.
NOW THEREFORE, 1, ROY D. BUOL, MAYOR OF THE CITY OF DUBUQUE, IOWA,
ON BEHALF OF THE CITY COUNCIL, STAFF AND CITIZENS OF DUBUQUE, DO
HEREBY PROCLAIM THE MONTH OF SEPTEMBER 2013 AS:
"GEEK THE LIBRARY MONTH"
IN THE CITY OF DUBUQUE, IOWA, AND UPON ALL THE PEOPLE OF THE
DUBUQUE COMMUNITY TO OBSERVE THIS MONTH AND CELEBRATE WHAT
THE PUBLIC LIBRARY OFFERS INDIVIDUALS AND THE COMMUNITY AND TO
LEARN MORE ABOUT THEIR LIBRARY.
IN WITNESS THEREOF, I have
