The petition was referred to the City Manager and Water Depart~ ment Superintendent for investiga- tion. It requested that a water con- nection be permitted without the payment of a $2.50 assessment per foot of frontage of the property along Dodge Street. I recommend that ment be charged. This recommendation is based on Ordinance 65-61, which requires that the prevailing per lineal front foot connection charge shall be paid in any location where water main was installed since the an- nexation of November 7, 1951, and assessment has been Mutual Fidelity 1966 Gentlemen: I have been informed that the parking demand is such that the _Parking Ramp should be opened on Thursday evenings using a cashier rather than the automatic system. The pay of the Water Plant Operater position will be increased one step-from $491 to $515 per month. 2. Starting pay of the position will be changed from $391 to $449 per month. The pay of new em- ployees will be adjusted according- ly. 3. The pay changes indicated in paragraphs 1 and 2 will be effec- tive for 1966 beginning with pay- roll No.7, March 28, 1966. The cost of the above adjust- ments for 1966 will be approxi- mately $2700.00. This amount can be financed within the 1966 Water Department Appropriation. In addition to the above, it has been agreed to pay the Water Plant Operator time and one-half for overtime work. This feature will be retroactive to include the accumulated overtime presently reo corded on the books of the Water Department. As is possible, over- time will be paid to the employee either in payor as days off, ac- cording to the desires of the em. ployee. This option, however, is subject to the final determination of the Department Head as to days off to be taken and the limit of overtime accumulation neces- sary for the efficient operation of the Water Plant. The pay of the Fire Depart. ment Firefighter will be increased one step according to the current pay plan. The change is from $470 to $491 per month. 3. The pay of the Fire Depart- ment Equipment Operator will be increased $9.00 per month. This change is from $491 to $500 per month. 4. The pay of all Fire Depart- ment Lieutenants, not presently in Step 21F of the current pay plan will be placed in 21F. The Step 21F is equal to $515 per month. The pay changes indicated in paragraphs #2, #3 and #4 are to be- retroactive to January 1, 1966 and continue throughout 1966.
