Dear Mayor Buol and Council Members:
I must start this letter by thanking you for supporting the City of Dubuque
Human Rights Commission accessibility goal. It is your willingness to help the
commissioners and adopt accessibility as a top priority for the City over the next
five years that will create a "Proudly Accessible" city for all of the citizens of
Dubuque.
We are particularly appreciative of the work session that allowed us to
inform you of our needs. The accessibility subcommittee looks forward to
hearing back from the city council, using the city council insight and experience
to help us take the next steps.
I feel that the time you spent with the Human Rights Commission was
especially generous of you, making time for us and putting in so much extra work
to ensure a successful commission. I and the other commissioners thank you for
your generous time and for your valuable guidance.
