City Council, Special Session, October 10, 2006
Council met in Special Session at 2:30 P.M. in the Library Auditorium
Present: Mayor Buol, Council Members Braig, Cline, Connors, Jones, Lynch,
City Manager Van Milligen, City Attorney Lindahl
Mayor Buol read the call and stated this is a special session of the City Council
called for the purpose of discussing the America's River expansion in the Port of
Dubuque.
Consideration of a Resolution of Support for America's River Expansion of
Museum / Portside Building: Council spoke of the partnership between the City and the
Dubuque County Historical Society on past projects and that the partnership would
continue for the second phase of the America's River Project, which was a positive for
Dubuque and good for the community. Michalski moved adoption of Resolution No.
498-06 Endorsing application. Seconded by Connors. Motion carried 7-0.
Jerry Enzler and Teri Goodmann, Dubuque County Historical Society, expressed
appreciation to the Council for their support and strong leadership.
Project Review Process for Port of Dubuque Development: City Manager
providing information on the project review process for Port of Dubuque development,
upon motion received and filed.
