HUMAN RIGHTS COMMISSION
MEETING MINUTES OF
August 18,2006
Human Rights Commissioners met for lunch from 12:00 - 1 :00 p.m. and began the goal
setting session at 1 :00 p.m. on Friday, August 18, 2006, at the Holiday Inn Five Flags.

Facilitator: Sr. Corine Murray
Commissioners proceeded with goal setting session and identified four goal areas: 1)
accessibility; 2) housing; 3) education, with subcategories including sexual orientation
and faces and voices; and 4) ordinance, rules, and regulations review.
The commissioners expressed possible interest in working on goals as follows: 1)
accessibility - Judy Giesen; 2) housing - Jim Jarrard; 3) education - Anthony Allen, Bill
Ross and Vince Vanden Huevel; 4) ordinance, rules, regulations - Anthony Allen,
Marcos Rubenstein.
Commissioner Rubenstein moved and Commissioner Ross seconded to accept the four
goal areas identified at the goal setting session. Roll call:
