Van Milligen, City Manager SUBJECT: Rates for Ambulance Service Fire Chief Dan Brown is recommending an amendment to the City of Dubuque Code of Ordinances that will provide for the City Manager to establish rates for ambulance service. This change will help make the adjustments to the rates due to fluctuation in the market of supplies and the Medicare rate reimbursements in a more timely manner. Daniel Brown, Fire Chief [~.e, SUBJECT: Rates for Ambulance Service Attached is the copy of the City of Dubuque Ordinance that establishes the rates for Fire Department ambulance service. Barry Lindahl has prepared an amendment that will provide for the City Manager to establish the rates. This change will help make the adjustments to the rates due to fluctuation in the market of supplies and the Medicare rate reimbursements in a more timely manner. Currently we are looking at establishing rates for CPAP (Continuous Positive Airway Pressure) along with a mileage increase as part of a new reimbursement rate from Medicare.
