Whereas, Bryant Elementary School has given thousands of students a strong
foundation upon which to build a lifetime of success; and
Whereas, Bryant Elementary School continues to serve as a hub of community
involvement and as an exemplary neighborhood school in the Dubuque
community; and
Whereas, alumni of Bryant Elementary School carry their experience at the school
with them today and exhibit a commendable amount of pride in their
school; and
Whereas, the Bryant Family Organization represents a group of committed parents
and family members who serve as examples of positive involvement in the
education of our community's children; and
Whereas this year, Bryant Elementary School celebrates its 75th year in existence
and the Bryant Family Organization will commemorate the occasion with a
special walk- a -thon event for Bryant families past and present as well as
the community at large.
NOW, THEREFORE, 1, ROY D. BUOL, MAYOR OF THE CITY OF DUBUQUE, ON
BEHALF OF THE CITY COUNCIL, STAFF AND CITIZENS OF DUBUQUE, DO
HEREBY PROCLAIM THE 19T" DAY OF OCTOBER, 2013 AS
"BRYANT ELEMENTARY SCHOOL 75t" ANNIVERSARY DAY"
IN THE CITY OF DUBUQUE, IOWA.
IN WITNESS THEREOF, I have
hereunto set my hand and caused the
Great Seal of the City of Dubuque to be
