Whereas, the Dubuque Area Chamber of Commerce realizes that becoming a community of
diversity and inclusion does not just happen — it is created, and;
Whereas, it is not achieved by a single department, council, business or organization. It is a
transformation that occurs only when each of us embraces diversity and leads by
example, and;
Whereas, today's global marketplace demands world - caliber environments in which to live, work
and play, and;
Whereas, diversity and inclusion is more than a strategy. It is the way we must do business in
order to become a world-class community; a community where people want to live; a
community where talent can advance careers; a community where businesses want to
both locate and stay; a community in which everyone can build a life.
