DISCUSSION
Attached, please find the latest renewal for GIS software used by the City. This
contract is a maintenance contract and covers update and support for the software.
The expense for this item is budgeted in the Information Services Department
budget. The amount budgeted for FY 2007 is $19,624.00. The only change in this
year's contract is to have all items expiring on the same date of October 19 to make
contract management easier. ESRI is the sole source for maintenance on the
software.
ACTION STEP
I am forwarding this contract to you for signature under the direction of the revised
guidelines for contracts distributed in a memo from Assistant City Manager Cindy
Steinhauser earlier this year.

Secondary maintenance entitles users to software upgrades and technical
support through a primary license. Users must support at least one primary
license for every ten copies of each version of a product (e.g., ArcView 3.x
licensing is regarded as separate from ArcView 9.x). Please contact
Customer Service to find out more about the availability of secondary
maintenance.
