comply with the Ordinances of the City and have filed proper bonds.

Chief of Police Kim Wadding recommends approval of the annual liquor license renewal
for the businesses of Big 10 Mart, The Bridge Restaurant, Dubuque Area Chamber of
Commerce, Dubuque Family Restaurant, Happy Joe's Pizza, HyVee Gas #2, Point
Restaurant, and P.S. I Love You.

INTRODUCTION
The purpose of this memorandum is to recommend the annual renewal of the above
liquor license establishments and to highlight the calls for service related to incidences
of disturbances, crimes against person, crimes against property, and public morals
occurring at the business since the last liquor license renewal.
BACKGROUND
Regarding the listed establishments requesting a renewal of their liquor license, the
following is a summary of activity since their last renewal. The following key provides a
brief description of those calls for service displaying four areas of concern.

establishment. Of these calls there were no disturbances, one crime against person,
four crimes against property, and no public morals calls. There were no individual
alcohol violations or alcohol violations against the business.

Since the last renewal date there were no calls for service to the establishment.

HAPPY'S JOES (855 CENTURY DRIVE)
Since the last renewal date there were seven calls for service to the establishment. Of
these calls there were no disturbances, no crimes against persons or property, and no
public moral violations. Additionally, there were no individual alcohol violations or
alcohol violations against the business.
HYVEE GAS #2 (300 SOUTH LOCUST)
Since the last renewal date there were eleven calls for service to the establishment. Of
these calls there were no disturbances, no crimes against persons or property, and no
public moral violations. Additionally, there were no individual alcohol violations or
alcohol violations against the business.
POINT RESTAURANT (2370 RHOMBERG)
Since the last renewal date there were a total of five calls for service to the
establishment. Of these calls there were no disturbances, no crimes against persons,
three crimes against property, and no public morals calls. Additionally, there were no
individual alcohol violations or alcohol violations against the business.

Based upon a review of the above businesses, I would recommend approval of their

Dubuque Area Chamber of Commerce, Dubuque Family Restaurant, Happy Joe's
Pizza, HyVee Gas #2, Point Restaurant, and P.S. I Love You.
ACTION REQUESTED
Action requested is for City Council consideration to approve the liquor license renewal
for the Big 10 Mart, The Bridge Restaurant, Dubuque Area Chamber of Commerce,
Dubuque Family Restaurant, Happy Joe's Pizza, HyVee Gas #2, Point Restaurant, and
P.S. I Love You.
