Governor Terry E. Branstad
1007 East Grand Ave.
Des Moines, IA 50319
Dear Governor Branstad:
I am writing to thank you for welcoming the National Association of
State Park Directors (NASPD) to Iowa in September. Director Chuck
Gipp, former Bureau Chief Kevin Szcodronski, and the members and
staff of Iowa State Parks hosted the 2013 NASPD Annual Conference in
Dubuque. As the attached resolution will attest participants from forty -
one of the fifty states were treated to a week of stimulating programs,
wonderful scenery and gracious hospitality. The entire staff of the
Bureau served as gracious ambassadors for your state and the
Mississippi corridor was as diverse and historic as advertised.
Our time in your great state was both educational and enjoyable and we
thank you, the Department of Natural Resources and Bureau of State
Parks for hosting the 2013 Conference.
Sin - ely,
Priscilla Geigi'i sident
