Dear Mayor Buol & Members of the City Council:
Mr. and Mrs. Robert McClain who live at 790 Rush Street in Dubuque, Iowa are interested
in purchasing the vacated portion of Union Avenue between Rush and Shandon Street which is
now Florence. They are willing to pay all surveying costs. Apparently, the adjoining property
owner has signed off indicating that they would not be interested in part of the abandoned
property. In consideration, Mr. and Mrs. McClain would like to pay the $100.00 purchase price
and the cost of publication and filing fees. One consideration they would like to have is that in
the event there is an assessment on Rush Street for street improvements that this footage not be
included in any assessment.
