Minutes of October 22nd, 2013
CCWMA Chair, Laura Carstens called the meeting to order at 10:06 a.m.
1. ROLL CALL: Directors Present: Laura Carstens, Pat Simon, Bob O'Connell, Curt
Kiessling, and Calvin Gatch Jr. Carl Reimer, Raki Giannakouros, and Will Hoyer were
absent. CCWMA Administrators: Eric Schmechel and Dean Mattoon
2. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Minutes were approved from 72313. Kiessling made
the motion, seconded by Carstens.
AGENGA ITEMS
*Because of time constraints, Carstens asked if the Board was alright with changing
the agenda order. The motion was made by Carstens and seconded by Kiesling to
move the AES presentation to the beginning of the meeting.
A. Applied Ecological Services (AES) presentation
Cecily gave roughly a 45- minute presentation on the information that was collected during
AES windshield survey of the watershed and how the assessment process works. She
explained how AES broke the entire watershed into small parcels and the process they
used to collect the data. Data on detention basins, stream corridors, stream conditions, and
several other assessments topics were then discussed. The board had several questions
relevant to AES assessment process.
*After the AES Presentation, Carstens had to leave the meeting, and the CCWMA no
longer had a quorum. The Board decided they would still have a some worksession.
Agenda items were discussed and tabled until the next meeting.
