SUBJECT: Pyatigorsk Park Parking Lot Project
Attached are two copies of the change order for the Pyatigorsk Park Parking Lot
Project.
The two main items on this change order are: 1) we added more stone under the bridge
where grass does not grow ($2,084.87); and 2) we changed from seed to sod because
it got late in the year and we did not have time to establish the seed ($3,003.07).

SUBJECT: Pyatigorsk Parking Lot
Please note the following changes to the contract and the resultant modification to the
contract price:
1. Contractor shall modify the type of concrete used for the sidewalk from the park to the parking lot This concrete
shall be colored a Scofield Color, "Autumn Beige # 0288". The finish is supposed to be just the normal finish typical
for a concrete walkway within the City of Dubuque. The net increased cost for this item is $50000
2. This portion of the change order addresses the modifications to the landscaping for the site.
a. Contractor shall add filter fabric under the area of the bridge and place a four-inch thick layer of 3/4 inch base
stone over the fabric. The cost for the fabric is $676.67 and the cost for the stone in place is $2,139.00. The
Contractor shall eliminate seeding in the area where the stone has been placed. This results in a deduction of
$730.80. The net increased cost for this item is $2,084.87.
b. Contractor shall place sod in the remaining areas where seeding was originally proposed. He shall include
watering the sod once as a part of his contact price. This additional watering shall not be a part of the laying
process, and shall occur at a time other than when the sod is placed. The additional cost for the sod is $4,88872.
The deduction for the seeding is $1,885.65. The net increased cost for this item is $3,003.07.
3. Contractor shall use 12 inch plastic pipe in place of the rcp pipe originally specified. The cost reduction is $40.50.
The net decrease cost for this item is $40.50.
The total change in the contract price for the three items noted above is a net increased cost of $5,547.44."
