As you may know, Operafion: New Yew Community Action Agency is the local
public nonprofit agency which provides programs to serve low-income persons in
Dubuque. Delaware and Jaclaon counties- The work of the agency is
administered by a 27-member tripartite board of directors which includes nine
representatives from each of three community sectors: elected public officials;
lowincome organaations; and private community organaatiorn. Seats on the
board of director are maintained for aganl¢ations representing each sector-
The City of Dubuque maintains three seals on our board of director as public
officials sector representatives from Dubuque County. Public officials are
appointed for one-year terms which expire on December 31, each year. Your
current representatives ore Rig J and Korb & ' A third representative is
appointed by the City Manager. This poslf'ion is currently held by Janet Walker.
With tha letter we request to be informed as to who will be your representatives for
the 2007 year. Assoon as you have made these appointm~ts at your first meeting
of the new year, please communicate them to us by letter so that your
representatives can tie seated at our first meeting in January 2007.
