AIRPORT COMMISSION MINUTES
Commissioner Accinelli moved to approve the minutes of the August 26, 2013
Commission meeting and the motion was seconded by Commissioner Brotherton.

Various statistics were reviewed.

02. OATH OF OFFICE — DOUG BROTHERTON
Airport Commission Chair Daoud administered the oath of office to reappoint
Commissioner Brotherton to the Airport Commission.
03. OATH OF OFFICE — CHRIS EVEN
Airport Commission Chair Daoud administered the oath of office to appoint
Chris Even as Commissioner on the Airport Commission.
04. ELECTION OF OFFICERS
Commissioner Accinelli made a motion to nominate Doug Brotherton for
Commission Chair and Commissioner Daoud seconded the motion. AYES: All.

Commission Chair Brotherton motioned to nominate Steve Accinelli for Vice Chair
and Commissioner Daoud seconded the seconded the motion. AYES: All.
NAYES: None.
Commissioner Daoud made a motion to nominate Chris Even for
Secretary/Treasurer. Commissioner Accinelli seconded the motion. AYES: All.
NAYES: None.
05. APPROVAL OF CONTRACT — COMMUNITY FOUNDATION OF GREATER DBQ
Amy Manternach from the Community Foundation of Greater Dubuque gave a
presentation to the Commission on the Airport establishing a fund for raising
$2,900,000. The Airport is currently seeking to accept monetary gifts for the New
Terminal project to cover items deemed ineligible by the Federal Aviation
Administration for federal funding. Establishing a fund within the Community
Foundation of Greater Dubuque would allow for a greater opportunity for support.
After discussion, Commissioner Accinelli made a motion to accept the contract with
ongoing review of the process during and after the $2.9 million is raised.
Commission Wagner seconded the motion. AYES: All. NAYES: None.
DISCUSSION
06. MANAGER'S UPDATE
Airport Manager Grierson gave an update on the proposed American Airlines /US
Airways merger. The Commission also was notified that the Airport was recently
recognized for receiving the Part 139 Safety Award for the 23rd consecutive year.
07. CORRESPONDENCE
None.
PUBLIC INPUT
Commissioner Accinelli thanked Airport Staff for the coordination and support of the
recent Safecon Aviation event that was hosted by the University of Dubuque at the
Airport.

The next scheduled tentative Commission meeting date is December 16, 2013 at 4:00
p.m.
