INTRODUCTION
The purpose of this memorandum is to request the opportunity for Mitzi Yordy, General Manager of the Grand River Center,
to make a presentation to the City Council of the 2013 Annual Report.
BACKGROUND
Platinum Hospitality was hired as the private management company for the Grand River Center in 2003. In 2013, a new
management contract was approved. Mitzi Yordy, General Manager, would like to present activities of 2013, as well as plans
for the future to the Council.
The Grand River Center has become an integral part of the community since opening. The Conference and Education
Center has been very successful in hosting local events and activities, as well as bringing conventions to our community and
building Dubuque's tourism industry.
ACTION TO BE TAKEN
I request time on the Council agenda for Mitzi to share the Annual Report.
