Narrative Description: What appears to be a gable-front manufactured home is said to be a 1908 cottage that was relocated to this site prior to 1925 and given a full basement. A curiousity is that the new basement (front portion) is of stone, while the rear addition (post-1964) is of concrete. The present roof form likely came with the enlargement of the cottage. The Sanborn Map shows the cottage present by 1934 but one address reference from 1925 needs to be investigated. The original cottage measured 28 feet in width and 16 feet in depth. The addition added 16 feet to the length. There is a rear entry stoop, and a front deck porch that recently replaced a stoop. No house was on the site as of 1909. Building Permit/Alteration Record Date Owner Contractor Description/value No permits found Assessor noted house was moved in, and a basement put under it- [presumably not referring to another house that replaced an earlier one?\ 8. Narrative Statement of Significance: The likely move-in date is c.1934 with Harry S. and Ruth Kluck as the first owner/occupants. The original address was 2215 Elm Street.
