Narrative Description: This is a single-story gable-front brick residence. The plan fronts north(west) onto East 22nd Street and is one house east of the corner of that street and Kniest Street. The fagade is three-bays in width with the entrance located on the right-hand front corner. There is a centered window on the "attic" front. Originally this window consisted of twin narrow double-hung windows as is evidenced by the double- carved stone window hood left in place. There is a hip-roof front porch and raised wooden porch deck with side (west) step egress. The stone foundation is assumed given the brick construction. The core rectangular plan measures 22 feet in width, and 29 feet six inches in depth (649 square feet). There are two rear appendages, one (18 feet wide by 14 feet deep) is centered on the rear wall, the other projects in part to the west and likely is or was an open side porch (four feet width, 14 feet depth). A garage for this residence is located south of 500 East 22nd Street and fronts west on Kniest Street. It is a double frame garage with flat roof. The house has hardwood floors.
