Narrative Description: This single-family two-story frame gable front residence is the exception to the rule on Prince Street, four duplexes being to the north, and another to the south of it. The rectangular core measures 20 feet in width and 30 feet in length. A centered front porch is 18 feet wide and six feet deep. There is a south side centered bay (nine by 2.5 feet). A single-story rear wing measures 20 feet wide and 14 feet in depth and there is a rear extension in the southwest corner (12 feet wide, four feet deep), likely a porch. The south plane of the rear roof has been raised with the addition of a flat-roofed dormer (see below). There is a large flat-roofed double garage. Assessor records give the age of the garage as 30 years (as of the early 1950$) and dimensions of 12 feet by 18 feet, a 1964 garage (24 feet by 26 feet) dates to 1964. Initial photos show no concrete block garage. The house is considerably altered. The lower front has been permastoned, but does retain the original full-width metal-roof front porch with a gablet above the right-hand entry (metal grillwork posts replace original wooden posts, concrete deck), and the rest of the house has been resided. There are two upper front windows, set into the corners and there is an attic front window. Building Permit/Alteration Record Date Owner Contractor Description/value July 31, 1939 M.
