This letter will serve as formal notice that the JELD -WEN Fiber facility located at 250
East 8th Street, Dubuque, Iowa 52001, will experience a permanent closure on March 28, 2014.
Approximately 52 employees will be permanently separated from employment on that date.
Because of this closure, we are providing this notification under the provisions of the Worker
Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) Act and Iowa Layoff Notification Law. This
facility is not unionized and no bumping rights exist.
Enclosed is a sample notice letter the Company has given to all employees announcing
the closure.
To assist our valued Dubuque employees through this difficult transition, JELD -WEN
plans to offer career counseling and outplacement services to all affected employees at JELD -
WEN's sole expense.

This letter will serve as formal notice that the JELD -WEN Fiber facility located at 250
East 8th Street. Dubuque, Iowa 52001, will experience a permanent closure on March 28, 2014.
As a result, up to 52 employees will be separated from employment on or shortly after that date.
No bumping rights exist.
The Company has notified the Iowa State Dislocated Worker Unit of this closure. The
Dislocated Worker Unit may be able to provide transition information or assistance to you, and
can be reached at the Iowa Workforce Development, 3420 University Avenue, Waterloo, Iowa
50701.
To assist you and our many other valued employees through this difficult transition,
JELD -WEN plans to offer outplacement and career counseling services to all Dubuque
employees, at the Company's sole expense. You will receive information regarding
outplacement services within the coming weeks.
