Chairperson Jim Holz called the meeting to order at 8:30 a.m. following staff assurance of
compliance with Iowa Open Meeting Law. This meeting was held via telephone conference
call.

New Business
Approve Resolution requesting an appropriation of the State Housing Trust Fund by
the Iowa Legislature
Joieen Patterson explained that a coalition of local housing trust funds certified by the Iowa
Housing Authority is requesting the Iowa Legislature appropriate $6.7 million to the State
Housing Trust Fund. The funds will benefit all local housing trust funds and project based
applicants to enhance affordable housing and community and economic development
activities throughout the Sate of Iowa. The Committee is being asked to support this action
and adopt a resolution requesting an appropriation for the State Housing Trust Fund by the
Iowa Legislature.
John Walsh moved to approve the resolution. Doris Hingtgen seconded. All present in favor.
Motion passed.
Adjournment
There being no further business to come before the Committee. The meeting was adjourned
by voice vote at 8:52 a. m.
