SUBJECT: Indemnification Agreement between City of Dubuque and Regional Transit
Authority
Transit Manager Jon Rodocker is recommending approval of an Indemnification
Agreement between the City of Dubuque and The Regional Transit Authority as the
RTA implements operation of the contracted mini-bus service.
I concur with the recommendation and respectfully request Mayor and City Council
approval.

Subject: Indemnification Agreement
We are in need of your signature on both copies of the Indemnification Agreement
between The City of Dubuque and The Regional Transit Authority. The agreement is in
response from Barry Lindahl and the City's Insurance. The agreement is part of the
negotiating process with RTA to operate the mini-bus contract. If you could please let
me know when I could pick up the signed copies or if you would prefer to leave in our
mail box. Thank you

INDEMNIFICATION AGREEMENT
BETWEEN
THE CITY OF DUBUQUE, IOWA
AND
REGIONAL TRANSIT AUTHORITY
Whereas, Regional Transit Authority (RTA) is purchasing several light-
duty buses from the City of Dubuque (City); and
Whereas, City has agreed to allow RTA to store its buses in City's
Garage, but only upon the terms and conditions set forth herein.
Now therefore it is agreed by and between RTA and City that in
consideration for City granting to RTA permission to store its buses in City's
Garage, RTA agrees to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless City, its officers,
agents, and employees from and against any and all claims of any kind to person
or property arising out of the storage of RTA's buses in City's Garage.
