Dear Mayor Buol:
I am pleased to inform you that your application for technical assistance from the
American Institute of Architects' (AIA) Sustainable Design Assessment Team (SDAT)
program has been accepted. Your community is one of eight that will receive SDAT
assistance under the 2007 request for proposals.
The AIA is honored to be able to provide this service to your community and we are
eager to begin planning our visit. As a next step, we will develop a memorandum of
understanding outlining the roles and responsibilities of the steering committee, the
community, and the AIA. Once that is completed, we can begin planning and preparing
for the preliminary visit and the SDAT visit.
You will be contacted by Ann Livingston, Director, AIA Center for Communities by
Design early next week to begin discussing preparations for the SDAT visit. You can
reach Ann directly at alivin ston(a~aia.org or 202.626.7405.
Congratulations and we look forward to working with you.
Sincerely,
. (~
