Offering entertainment, shopping and a place to get away, this event drew in attendees from Cedar Rapids, Guttenberg, Urbana, Galena (IL), Dubuque, Belleville (WI), Manchester, Cedar Falls, Madison, Jesup, Mount Vernon, Waupaca (WI), Elkader, Dyersville, Epworth, & Boscobel (WI). The 2014 event takes place April 5 and registrations continue to draw from key markets identified by the CVB. A total of 32 states, and 15 cities and 3 provinces in Canada were represented in this year's field. Elite 8 games will be played at select locations with Five Flags being an option for the eastern part of the state. Iowa Bass Nation attracts over 200 anglers each year. This year's event will make base on Schmitt Island. The Dubuque Gran Fondo is a challenging cycling event taking place over the hills of the city of Dubuque and on the roads through the nearby countryside.
