Dear Steve,
It is with real sadness that I resign my position as Dubuque Regional Airport Commissioner.
My resignation is mandatory due to policy requirements of the City of Dubuque. On February 19, 2007, I will
begin my duties as Assistant City Manager for Intergovernmental Relations. No city employee can serve on a
aty boards and/or commission.
any work for the Airport will continue however, in a different capacity. City Manager Mike Van Milligen has made
it very clear in our discussions that the continued growth and expansion of Dubuque Regional Airport is one of
the top priorities of the City of Dubuque. Working on behalf of the airport will continue to be one of my primary
job responsibilities.
I plan to continue to attend Commission meetings, Steve, and will be available if you need to discuss any of
these matters with me. !would appreciate it if Peggy could send me the calendar of scheduled meetings for
2007.
Lastly, I have enjoyed the collegiality, resourcefulness and good spirits of my fellow commissioners and all
airport staff over the past six years. It has been a tremendous pleasure to serve the City with such fine traveling
companions.
Transportation infrastructure remains as one of the greatest challenges to Dubuque's continued economic
growth and prosperity. I will continue to work with you and the Commission and staff to the best of my ability.
