Lores College is interested in acquiring a portion of property in accordance with the City of Dubuque
vacating procedures.
The property consists of portions of two city owned streets.
1. The first property is that portion of Henion Street north of Picket Street that currently continues
into a parking lot adjacent to the Binz residential hall.
2. The second property is that portion of Picket Street west of Henion Street that currently is a
portion of the parking lot for Beckman and Binz residential halls.
Lores College requests the property be vacated in order to accommodate the new parking lot proposal
presented to the Planning and Zoning Commission as part of a new 84-bed residential housing unit in
that vicinity.
If this is possible, Lores College will work closely with the City's Engineer's Office to obtain the written
consent of the abutting property owners.
