Worksession for Family Self-Sufficiency Program

We have increased the number of participants on our Family Self-Sufficiency (FSS)
Program by more than 200% during the last year. We have continued to graduate
persons enrolled in our Getting Ahead in a Just Gettin’-by World trainings. And the
Circles Initiative was introduced to the community last September, now fully-functioning
with new staff and the first Circles teams formed.
Housing Department staff would like to share the successes of these programs with the
City Council. Using formats provided to us by A-Ha! Processes and the Move the
Mountain organization (our consultants for the Gettin’ Ahead and Circles Programs), we
have implemented systems to track performance in areas such as employment,
schooling and homelessness.
Our request is to schedule a worksession with the Council on 21 November. Thank you
for your consideration.
