1. Approve Minutes of January 9 and 25, 2007
Motion by Wertzberger to to approve the minutes of January 9 and 25, 2007.
Seconded by Kluesner. Motion carried 3-0.
2. Discussion Regarding Police Officer Recruitment
Personnel Manager Randy Peck and Asst. Police Chief Terry Tobin recommending the
following:
a) Police Officer Section Test (POST) be the written instrument
b) Establishment of a remote test site (possibly Triton College)
c) Structured interviews be part of the certification process
d) Establishment of a one-year time limit for the certified eligibility list with transfer
of POST scores
Motion by Kluesner to receive and file the communications and approve the certification
process as recommended. Seconded by Wertzberger. Motion carried 3-0.
Motion by Wertzberger to begin application process March 18, 2007, with a deadline of
5 p.m. on April 6, 2007. Seconded by Kluesner. Motion carried 3-0.
3. Request to Schedule Promotional Examination for the Position of Equipment
Operator II
Motion by Wertzberger to receive and file the communication and to schedule an
entrance examination for the position of Equipment Operator II with the exam being
open to all current City employees, and that the list be good for two years. The
application deadline is to be established as 5 p.m. on March 9, 2007, and that the test
be administered at 6:30 p.m. on March 15, 2007. Seconded by Kluesner. Motion
carried 3-0.
4. Establish Passing Point and Certify List for Position of Sanitation Driver
Motion by Wertzberger to receive and file the communications and to establish the
passing point for the position of Sanitation Driver at 75 (75.8%) and above correct
answers. Seconded by Kluesner. Motion carried 3-0.
Motion by Wertzberger to certify the list as read. Seconded by Kluenser. Motion
carried 3-0.
5. Adjourn
Kluesner moved to adjourn. Seconded by Wertzberger. Motion carried 3-0. The
meeting adjourned at 9:34 a.m.
