Van Milligen City Manager FROM: Kim Wadding Police Chief RE: Liquor License Renewal for the following: The Ground Round Restaurant, 50 JFK Road Panchero's Mexican Grill, 4840 Asbury Road PJ's Tap, 500 Rhomberg Avenue Salsa's Mexican Restaurant, 1091 Main Street Tobacco World, 3341 Hillcrest INTRODUCTION The purpose of this memorandum is to recommend the annual renewal of the above liquor license establishments and to highlight the calls for service related to incidences of disturbances, crimes against person, crimes against property, and public morals occurring at the business since the last liquor license renewal. BACKGROUND Regarding the listed establishments requesting a renewal of their liquor license, the following is a summary of activity since their last renewal. The following key provides a brief description of those calls for service displaying four areas of concern. Disturbances Includes physical fighting, verbal arguments, loud music and/or subjects and all other disorder) behavior not alread listed Crimes A ainst Persons Includes Assault and Harassment Crimes A ainst Pro ert Includes Bur la ,Criminal Mischief and Theft Public Morals Includes Public Intoxication and Possession of Controlled Substances DISCUSSION THE GROUND ROUND RESTAURANT (50 JFK RD) Since the last renewal date there were a total of 16 calls for service to the business. Of these calls there were no disturbances, one crime against persons, two crimes against property, and no public morals calls. Additionally, there were no individual alcohol violations and no alcohol violations against the business. PJ'S TAP (500 RHOMBERG) Since the last renewal date there were no calls for service to the establishment. Additionally, there were no individual alcohol violations and no alcohol violations against the business. SALSA'S (1091 MAIN) Since the last renewal date there were a total of seven calls for service to the establishment. Of these calls there was one disturbance, no crimes against persons, one crime against property, and no public morals calls. Additionally, there were no individual alcohol violations and no alcohol violations against the business. RECOMMENDATION Based upon a review of the above businesses, we would recommend approval of their annual liquor license for The Ground Round Restaurant, 50 JFK Road; Panchero's Mexican Restaurant, 4840 Asbury Road; PJ's Tap, 500 Rhomberg Avenue; Salsa's Mexican Restaurant, 1091 Main Street and Tobacco World, 3341 Hillcrest.
