MEMBERS PRESENT: Ron Tigges (Chair), Kevin Stevens (Vice -Chair), Pauline Maloney,
Jennifer Tigges, Alan Vincent, Kathy McMullen.
MEMBERS ABSENT: Sr. Carol Hoverman
OTHERS PRESENT: Craig Nowack, City of Dubuque

RTigges called the meeting to order at 4 p.m.
Acceptance of the Agenda
Upon a motion by Vincent, seconded by Stevens, the Agenda was accepted 6 - 0.
Approval of the Minutes of March 5, 2014
Upon a motion by Maloney, seconded by JTigges, the Minutes were approved 6 - 0.
Public Input
There was no public input.
Access Equipment & Expenditures
Nowack presented a request for funding for $2,200 to provide Hardware Assurance for the Cablecast
server at The Forum. He noted that the planned implementation of last year's server project was
modified because of repairs needed on the Loras server. The Assurance being requested will ensure
that all servers are covered which will minimum any down time should a server go down. Stevens
moved to recommend $2,200 for the Hardware Assurance. The motion was seconded by Vincent and
approved 6 — 0.
Mediacom Cable Report
Barefoot reported that he is about ready to hire a production assistant and noted that the Dubuque
Area Substance Abuse Coalition has been learning how to produce programming to cover an
upcoming event.
Cable TV Report
Nowack informed the Commission that he is working on a proposal for the PEG community which he
hopes to be able to present next month. He has also modified the Cable portion of the City website in
anticipation of a coming redesign. Finally, he updated the Commission on programs in production.

Upon a motion by Vincent, seconded by McMullen, the meeting was adjourned at 4:32 p.m.
