Questions & Challenges
1. How can the City of Dubuque work with current lease holders while
opening up Chaplain Schmitt Island to the market for the first time?
2. How can Mystique Casino build on its existing success to attract new
visitors and continue to support the City of Dubuque?
3. How can the island work with - not against - its natural island qualities
(changing water levels, protected habitats, etc.) to be an attractive place
to visit year-round?
4. How can Chaplain Schmitt Island fit into Dubuque's larger riverfront
revitalization vision while defining its own unique sense of place?
Goals
Connect the riverfront.
Put your feet in.
Celebrate the island's
"islandness".
Spend the day - and night!
Visit in any season.
