4 2 07 Boost Your Hometown Proclamation
WHEREAS,
the Grand Aerie of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, have proclaimed the
month of April 2007 as “Boost Your Hometown Month” across the United
States and Canada; and
WHEREAS,
the Dubuque, Iowa, Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #568, in accordance
with the wishes of its Grand Aerie, and with its values of home and family
do with great pride say to our City and its government, “Thank you for a
job well done;” and
WHEREAS
, the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Dubuque, Iowa, Aerie#568, a non-profit
organization, raises money for the less fortunate and those in need, locally
and nationally; and
WHEREAS
, the Fraternal Order of Eagles recognizes the need to say to our
community they must get behind our City and its government to help with
any and all projects to better the future of our great city, thus supporting
the families of today and tomorrow.
NOW THEREFORE, I, ROY D. BUOL, MAYOR OF THE CITY OF DUBUQUE, IOWA,
ON BEHALF OF THE CITY COUNCIL, STAFF AND CITIZENS OF DUBUQUE, DO
HEREBY PROCLAIM THE MONTH OF APRIL 2007 AS
“BOOST YOUR HOMETOWN MONTH”
IN THE CITY OF DUBUQUE, IOWA, AND URGE EVERYONE TO RECOGNIZE AND
SUPPORT THE POSITIVE QUALITIES OF OUR CITY AND ALWAYS CULTIVATE
AND WORK TOWARD A BETTER FUTURE IN WHATEVER WAY POSSIBLE.
