INTRODUCTION
The enclosed resolution is in reference to the public hearing on the John F. Kennedy
Road & Wacker Drive Traffic Signal Replacement Project.
DISCUSSION
The John F. Kennedy Road & Wacker Drive Traffic Signal Replacement Project will
provide for the reconstruction of traffic signals at the intersection of JFK & Wacker. This
newly -rebuilt signal will be tied into the City-wide traffic management operations center at
City Hall. Improvements to the intersection will include new mastarms, signal truss
structure over JFK, new microwave detection and other ITS Components. New mastarms
and detection have already been purchased for the project from other CIPs to eliminate
the long lead time in equipment ordering.
RECOMMENDATION
I recommend that the City Council approve the construction plans and specifications for
the John F. Kennedy Road & Wacker Drive Traffic Signal Replacement Project.

The estimate of probable cost for the John F. Kennedy Road & Wacker Drive Traffic
Signal Replacement Project is as follows:
