Whereas, the citizens of Dubuque and the surrounding cities have for 61 years
been participants of the County Fair, and they support the 4-H and FFA
Youth and volunteers who share generously of their time and talents;
and
Whereas, the theme for the 2014 Dubuque County Fair is "More Fun Than Ever
Before"; and
Whereas, the Dubuque County Fair is a community event that everyone can
participate in, from creative arts exhibition to the demolition derby. The
many animals, exhibits, demonstrations, programs and entertainment
add up to a unique recreational activity; and
Whereas, attendance at the Dubuque County Fair has reached almost 80,000 over
its six full days; and
Whereas, the Dubuque County Fair officially opens on Tuesday, July 22, and runs
through Sunday, July 27, 2014.
NOW THEREFORE, 1, ROY D. BUOL, MAYOR OF THE CITY OF DUBUQUE, IOWA,
ON BEHALF OF THE CITY COUNCIL, STAFF, AND CITIZENS OF DUBUQUE DO
HEREBY PROCLAIM THE WEEK OF JULY 22 THROUGH JULY 28, 2013 AS:
"DUBUQUE COUNTY FAIR WEEK"
AND ENCOURAGE THE PARTICIPATION OF THE CITIZENS OF THE CITY OF
DUBUQUE, IOWA.
WITNESS THEREOF, I have hereunto
set my hand and caused the Great
Seal of the City of Dubuque, Iowa, to
be affixed this 7th day of July, 2014.
