Present: Commissioners Dan White, Betty Takes
Also present: Maureen Quann, Randy Peck, Tom Reed, Jason Lehman, Rich Russell, Jason
Mouring, Kevin Firnstahl
1. Hearing on the Appeal of Tom Reed. Jason Lehman submitted a motion for the immediate
reinstatement of Tom Reed due to want of prosecution because of not receiving the
Specification of Charges within the required amount of time. Statements were given by
Maureen Quann and Jason Lehman regarding this motion. After discussion by the
Commission, Takes moved to continue with the appeal hearing as scheduled. Seconded by
White. Motion carried 2-0. Mr. Lehman stated he would continue with the hearing on behalf of
Mr. Reed, but under protest.

Assistant City Attorney Maureen Quann appeared for the City.

Attorney Jason Lehman appeared for the Appellant.

Opening statements were given by Ms. Quann and Mr. Lehman.
The Commission heard testimony regarding the appeal by Tom Reed.
Following testimony and discussion among the Commission, Takes moved to modify the City
Manager's decision to state that the suspension of Mr. Reed be reduced to two (2) workdays.
Seconded by White. Motion carried 2-0.
Motion by White to adjourn at 3:20 p.m. Seconded by Takes. Motion carried 2-0.
