Van Milligen, City Manager SUBJECT: Amendment to the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the City of Dubuque and Teamsters Local Union No. 421 Personnel Manager Randy Peck recommends City Council approval of an amendment to the Collective Bargaining Agreement with the Teamsters Union to provide for a work week that consists of ten hours per day and four days per week for the Airport Maintenanceworkers and Airport Mechanic. Van Milligen City Manager FROM: Randy Peck Personnel Manager SUBJECT: Amendment to the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the City of Dubuque and Teamsters Local Union No. 421 I have attached an amendment to the Collective Bargaining Agreement with the Teamsters Union to provide for a work week that consists of ten (10) hours per day and four (4) days per week for the Airport Maintenanceworkers and Airport Mechanic. The amended articles are holidays, casual days, hours of work, overtime and night shift premium pay. The Amendment would be in effect from April 30, 2007 through October 5, 2007. The requested action is for the City Council to approve a motion authorizing you to sign the Amendment. If you have any questions, please feel free to call. RP:tlb cc: Robert Grierson, Airport Manager AMENDMENT TO THE COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE TEAMSTERS LOCAL UNION N0. 421 AND THE CITY OF DUBUQUE, IOWA The parties hereby agree to amend Article XXII, Holidays, Article XXIII, Casual Days, ArtiGe XXV, Hours of Work, Article XXVI, Overtime and Article XXVII, Night Shift Premium Pay to provide for a work week that consists of ten {10) hours per day and four (4) days per week for the Airport Maintenanceworkers and Airport Mechanic. Employees will receive eight (8) hours of pay for each holiday and casual day. One and one half (1 '/) the regular rate of pay shall be paid for hour worked over forty (40) hours per week or ten (10) hours per day. This Amendment applies only to the Airport Maintenanceworkers and Airport Mechanic who work a ten (10) hour work day and it will be in effect from April 30, 2007 through October 5, 2007.
